• One of Jill’s dreams was to open a coffee shop.  Poppies Coffee Shop was opened in March 2007.  Tania Bosworth, having given up her nursing career to look after the three boys was instrumental in the set up of this venture.  This was also the time that Tania became more involved in running the Gift and Christmas departments within the shop.

  • In December, Jill Bosworth suddenly passes away aged 66 having inspired a lot of the retail development and changes that have taken place.

  • Further land is purchased to the rear of the site allowing the nursery to relocate to a new area and the whole of the original site could be used for the Garden Centre

  • Ian Bosworth’s wife, Deborah, begins work for the business, helping to run the office with Jill.

  • Following in his grandparents and parents footsteps, Sam and Tania build a new house on the Garden Site .  Their son Oliver is born.

  • Adam Young begins his job as a Saturday lad.  He is still here and running the Gardening side of the Garden Centre business.

  • Between 1996 and 2005 work carries on to develop and grow the Garden Centre business.

  • Mark Leigh spends his work experience from school working on the nursery.  He is still here and currently our Nursery Supervisor

  • After a remarkable winters work, taking down greenhouses, chicken sheds and pig stys and building Car Parking, Shops and Plant Areas, the new Garden Centre opens in the Spring

  • Bosworth’s take the plunge and put relocation on the back burner as they submit an application to redevelop the Nursery site into  a Garden Centre.
